01 / SETTLE IN
You’ve arrived.
Unpack, take a breath, and enjoy the forest. Mystic is about five miles from the national park entrance.
Your private arrival instructions
Your door code arrives in your booking messages before arrival. Use it for the front door and garage game room. Pull the handle as you hear the door unlock; press the lock key to lock from outside. Keep doors closed to keep pests out.
Access and Parking
Look for the picket fence and driveway posts with two ferns. Park up to three vehicles on the gravel driveway. Street parking is not permitted.
If your reservation includes the detached guest suite, its key is in the lockbox on the corner post of the front porch. Use the private lockbox details in your booking messages.
A little more cabin time?

The good kind of downtime.
Cabin comforts, with the details that make them easy to enjoy.
AFTER THE TRAIL
Your private hot tub
Wipe your feet before stepping in, keep soaps and bubble products out, and replace the cover when finished. Only adjust jet knobs while jets are off; do not force them.
Follow the labeled bottle and booking instructions for after-use care. Allow at least 30 minutes after routine service, or 4–5 hours after a water change; follow the technician’s instructions. If the display shows sleep mode (SL) or the water is not heating, message us.
PLAY A LITTLE
The game garage
Challenge your group to pool, foosball or arcade games in the detached game garage. It is available to all registered guests, whether or not your booking includes the guest suite.
This space is not climate controlled. Bring a layer for cooler evenings.
Bedrooms & sleeping arrangements
Main floor: one king bedroom.
Upstairs: two queen bedrooms and an open loft with two full-size beds. The loft has no door and is open to the living space below.
Detached guest suite: queen bedroom, ensuite bathroom and separate living room with TV. Included for groups of six or more; groups of five or fewer may request it for $100 per stay. It remains vacant if not included in your booking.
Maximum occupancy is twelve, including children and infants.
Kitchen, coffee & meals
The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, instant pot, microwave, oven, stove, cookware and utensils.
Gather at the dining table for six and bar for four. The detached suite’s wet bar is suitable for coffee and chilled drinks; use the main kitchen for cooking.
Heating, A/C & fireplace
Heating and air conditioning are available, with supplemental cadet heaters. For mini-split cooling, select the snowflake symbol, set it to 70°F or above and allow 10–15 minutes to start cooling. Settings below 70°F can cause leaks.
Use the wall switch to the right of the gas fireplace to activate. Please do not touch the pilot light key.
Bathroom Facilities
Main floor: bathroom with shower.
Upstairs: bathroom with tub and shower.
Guest suite: ensuite bathroom, available when the suite is included in your booking.
Linens, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer are provided. Space out long showers so the 60-gallon hot water tank can reheat.
Septic: flush only human waste and limited toilet paper. No wipes or other products.
Laundry & entertainment
A washer and dryer are available. Books, board games, smart TVs and the game garage offer plenty to enjoy indoors.
The broom and vacuum are in the downstairs bedroom closet.
Grill, fire pit & yard
Enjoy the propane grill, covered outdoor seating, fire pit and yard.
Propane for the grill, hammocks and outdoor games are provided Memorial Day through Labor Day. You may use the grill outside this window, but may need to refill the tank at the local service station and brush down the grill.
Burn Ban Status — check before lighting a fire. Do not burn during a burn ban.
- Fires must remain inside the designated fire pit at all times.
- Keep fires at a safe, manageable size.
- Completely extinguish the fire before going inside for the night, leaving the property, or going to bed.
Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
Grounds and hot tub staff may be outside during routine maintenance
Electric vehicle charging
We offer EV charging with a J-1772 plug type. We can not guarantee compatibility when using an adapter.
RIGHT OUTSIDE
A neighborhood
worth wandering.
Paradise Estates is a mountain community of local homes and vacation cabins. Enjoy shared community parks, a swimming hole, fishing lake, and creek and river viewpoints.
The neighborhood is walkable; a car is best for exploring Ashford and the national park. Please respect private lots and keep dogs leashed.
04 / ROAD TO PARADISE
Make a day of the mountain.
Our local favorites, from a grocery stop on the way in to a trail you’ll remember.
Skyline Trail
A bigger mountain day: 1,700 feet of elevation gain, broad alpine views, and about 4½ hours of hiking. Check snow and trail conditions first.
Bench & Snow Lakes
A lake outing with rolling climbs and about 700 feet of elevation gain. Allow roughly two hours and check that the access road is open.
Comet Falls
Climb about 900 feet to the falls, allowing around three hours. Extending to Van Trump Park makes it a 5.8-mile outing with 2,000 feet of gain.
Rampart Ridge
Another option from our Road to Paradise hiking list. Open the park’s trail guide for route details and check current conditions before leaving.
Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad
A different way to spend a mountain day. Ask about the current train schedule and reserve ahead for the departure you want.
Find your kind of hike
Browse our family walks, longer hikes, and winter outing ideas. Choose a route for your group’s ability and the day’s conditions.
BaseCamp Bar & Grill
One of our Road to Paradise dining favorites. A convenient stop when you’d rather let someone else do the cooking.
Copper Creek
A local favorite from our area guide. Check opening hours before heading out, especially outside the main summer season.
Mill Haus
Our Road to Paradise guide calls this one worth the drive. Make it part of an outing rather than a quick walk from the cabin.
Dinner at the cabin
Pick up groceries on the way, put the full kitchen to work, and settle around the table. Check seasonal propane availability if you plan to grill.
Plaza Market · Eatonville
A fuller grocery selection about 35 minutes from the cabin, according to our host guide. A useful stop before heading into Ashford.
WinCo · Puyallup
Our Road to Paradise guide suggests stocking up here before the drive. Ashford’s grocery choices are limited.
Ashford County Store
A nearby option for basics and forgotten supplies. Check current opening hours and selection before making a special trip.
Park entry & winter travel
NPS says timed-entry reservations are not required in 2026. Entrance fees and passes still apply. Check requirements for your travel dates.
All vehicles, including AWD and 4WD, must carry tire chains November 1–May 1.
