Essential Information for Your Mt. Rainier Cabin Stay
We want your stay at Mt. Rainier National Park Cabins to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Below are answers to some of the most common questions about reservations, check-in/check-out, amenities, and more.

Are your cabins pet friendly?
All cabins at Mt. Rainier National Park Cabins are dog-friendly. We allow up to two dogs per stay, each must be 2+ years old. Pets must be registered at the time of reservation, and a $60/dog fee applies. Only dogs are allowed—no cats, birds, or other animals. An unregistered dog will incur a $250 fee.
Dog Rules:
- Dogs may stay only in hard surface areas (kitchen, family room) and are not allowed in bedrooms or lofts.
- Dogs should be kept off furniture, though covers/blankets are provided if needed.
- Dogs must be crated when left unattended.
- All excrement must be picked up outside, and dog hair should be removed from surfaces before departure.
- Dogs must be on a leash in the neighborhood and may not wander onto neighbors’ property.
When is payment due and what is the cancellation/refund policy?
Full payment is due at the time of reservation. Reservations canceled more than 30 days before check-in are eligible for a 50% refund. Reservations canceled or modified within 30 days of check-in are not eligible for a refund.
What are the Check in/Check out procedures?
- Check-in: 4:00 PM via electronic keypad or lock box. You’ll receive your code 24 hours before arrival.
- Check-out: 11:00 AM
Are chains required to get to the cabins during the winter months?
No. There is no mountain pass near our cabins, and chains are not required by WSDOT. The roads are county-maintained and regularly plowed.
Are there optional add-on services available?
Yes! We’ve partnered with local service providers to offer the following optional services. Fees are paid directly via Stripe:
- Snowshoe rental: $25/set
- Trekking poles: $15
- Firewood bundle (kindling + large bundle of firewood): $20
- EV charging (NEMA 14-50 Outlet): $25/stay
- Early check-in: $50
- Late checkout: $50
All services are subject to availability.
How reliable is the internet at the cabin?
We provide the fastest internet available for the area, but speed and reliability may not match city-level service. There are board games and an amazing hot tub to enjoy if the internet goes out.
How often are the hot tubs cleaned?
The hot tub is serviced weekly. Typically, it’s ready for use 30 minutes after service. If a full water change is needed, it may take 4-5 hours to reach the desired temperature.
Are outdoor amenities available year-round?
Grill, patio furniture, and hammocks are available from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

What is your occupancy/guest policy?
Infants count toward the maximum occupancy of the home, and only registered guests are permitted on the property with no outside visitors allowed.
